Bitstamp Shines Bright: FCA Welcomes Them with Open Arms
Bitstamp and Interactive Brokers have broken the monotony by becoming the first companies added to the U.K. crypto register in ages. Talk about making a splash after a six-month drought! These trendsetters have injected some much-needed excitement into the crypto world.

Limited and Interactive Brokers Limited have recently become the newest additions to the roster of registered entities in the United Kingdom. This development took place approximately six months after Hidden Road Partners and MoonPay were included by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in December 2022.

As of now, the FCA has listed a total of 42 crypto firms that are in compliance with various regulations, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT).

In the United Kingdom, companies engaging in "crypto asset activities" are required to either register with the FCA or obtain temporary authorization to operate.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has recently taken action against Binance Markets Limited, ordering the cessation of its operations in the UK. Additionally, local operators of crypto ATMs have received orders to shut down or face additional regulatory measures.

On Tuesday, Bitstamp, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange, was included in the list of registered entities. The company had previously completed registration processes in France back in February, as well as in Spain and Italy the previous year.

According to a statement on its official website, Bitstamp currently holds an impressive total of 52 licenses and registrations.

In an emailed press release, CEO Jean-Baptiste Graftieaux expressed Bitstamp's commitment to mainstream adoption and emphasized the importance of increased regulation in achieving this goal.

Bitstamp aims to position itself as a driving force in advocating for regulatory measures that can facilitate the journey towards widespread adoption.
